Sharol L. McDade has over 25 years’ experience providing technical assistance as a strategist, grant writer, trainer, and planner for Tribal governments, organizations, and businesses.
Beginning with her own Tribe in the 90’s, Ms. McDade’s career expanded as the Grant Writer for the Reno-Sparks Indian Colony and Development Officer for the National Judicial College, writing and securing funding for the establishment of the National Tribal Judicial Center. In 2001, Ms. McDade accepted a position with the National American Indian Housing Council (NAIHC) as a Technical Assistance/Training Specialist, utilizing her skills in training large classroom style courses in Basic/Advanced Grant Writing, Strategic Planning, NAHASDA essentials, as well as many enhanced Tribal and non-tribal training courses. While working with NAIHC, Ms. McDade provided hands-on technical assistance to multiple Tribes throughout each Tribal region in the country. Ms. McDade continued her work in Tribal Government affairs as a Tribal Administrator, and CEO for the Native Learning Center, Fallon Paiute Shoshone Tribe, Ione Band of Miwok Indians, Sherwood Band of Pomo Indians, Picayune Rancheria of Chukchansi Indians, Oglala Sioux Tribe, Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua, and Siuslaw Indians.
In addition to her Consulting duties, Ms. McDade advises and works as a Senior Strategist in the Tribal Affairs division for Navigators Global LLC; a D.C. based lobbying firm utilizing her expertise and knowledge to engage and encourage Tribes to be more astute in the D.C. process.
